At Chabad of the Antelope Valley we appreciate the importance and value of our children. Jewish children played a central role in the establishment of our people at Mount Sinai. They are the guarantors of the future of our people.
We realize that our Talmud Torah Hebrew School may be your child’s first taste of Judaism and therefore should be a fun and stimulating experience. The atmosphere at the Chabad Talmud Torah is warm and relaxed. The children truly look forward to attending each session. They arrive with a smile and leave with a smile humming a Jewish tune and clutching the crafts they have made. The children have a hand on experience through games, songs, stories and crafts.
Our approach is to stress the positive aspects of Judaism and Jewish identity. To take pride in our heritage that has persevered for thousands of years, an identity they will carry proudly with them into adulthood.
Every Jewish child is welcome regardless of background or level of observance. We do not require membership as a condition for enrollment.
Children ages 6-13 will acquire a broad knowledge of Judaism including reading & writing Hebrew, prayer, Jewish history, Holidays, and an appreciation of Jewish ritual and Jewish values.
As your child nears the age of Bar/Bas Mitzvah the Rabbi will prepare them for this momentous event and they will certainly make you and their grandparents proud.
A post Bar/Bas Mitzvah program is offered in the form of a teen club that your child is encouraged to join.

Imagine a child who feels the warmth and joy of being Jewish. Imagine the pride of the child’s parents.
We are impressed with our program, now it’s your turn.
